New HC Geoff Collins put together a very good defensive resume at Mississippi State under Mullen (Top 5 in SEC in Total Defense, Rushing Defense and Passing Defense in '13, top SEC Red Zone Defense and #1 in sacks in '14) and Florida under McElwain (#11 in the nation in scoring D in '15, #6 in '16). His OC Dave Patenaude has a history of running the ball at every stop he's coached at (gleaned from sources other than this article), most recently at Coastal Carolina.

Looks like they plan to duplicate Rhule's approach of a tough defense and hard nosed running team although the guy who wrote the article linked below suspects that Patenaude may want to throw a little more than he did at COastal Carolina. They have several pieces to replace on defense and one huge hole on the OL to replace. They also have a good RB and several good receivers but need to settle on a QB.

Expecting 30-10 layup win, followed by much rejoicing. Meh. *

Of course. Their HC is only in Year 1.

Everyone knows a head coach won't get traction until Year 7.

They don't look like a complete pushover

Which means it'll be a toss up in the fourth quarter against "Kelly 2.0: Now I give a shit because no one else above D2 wants me except Jack Swarbrick."

That's it. I'm changing my handle to "Unquenchable Ass."

Of course, I wouldn't blame anyone who says, "It's about time."

Saying it crudely doesn't make it any more true

It's already bad enough that we don't dismantle teams like Temple, you don't need to exaggerate their ineptitude. Our schedule strength has certainly declined over the years, but we rarely play horrible football teams. Temple may not be a threat to win a national championship, but they do know how to play.

Should we crush them? Absolutely. But that's not based on them being incompetent, it's based on us having a team full of 4 star or better talent.

But it does generate potential bookstore names

"Sucking Unquenchable Ass" sounds like an 80's bookstore team.
