that such issues had little to nothing to do with strength and conditioning or the type of lifts the kids were doing. That was a completely separate issue.
In other words the program was completely broken and instead of replacing the guy responsible for the program they just tried to plug holes in the dam. That might work for a time but at the end of the day the guy has proven himself unable to do the job at even the most basic of levels; I don't care if you spend 99% of your time on one side of the ball, the basic fundamental weaknesses on defense are simple for even the worst coach to identify. The fact that he didn't identify the issues and is now laying blame at guys that are gone is damning.
