Apparently there is tension in the Eagles front office. The Eagles GM fired Tom Gamble, the VP of Player Personnel and a guy Kelly wanted brought in to handle that aspect of the job. It was a demand of his when negotiating with the Eagles.
Stories out of Philly are that friction has increased between Roseman, the guy Lurie likely backs, and Kelly over the two seasons there. That Roseman finds himself to be a competent player personnel guy although he's never had any experience at it and sees it disrespectful that Kelly is praising Gamble as the personnel guy. Gamble was Kelly's guy and Kelly praised him a week or so ago about what a great player personnel guy he was in a press conference and how Roseman, the GM, was good at doing contracts.
Apparently that pissed Roseman off and Gamble being fired (he was apparently escorted from the Eagles facility) was a shot across the bow of Kelly by Roseman. It might not stop there as there are rumors some other Kelly/Gamble guys in the front office might be on their way out. One guy is interviewing with the Jets now. If some more guys get canned in Philly, this could get real interesting. I suspect ND would be a spot Kelly might have some interest in.
