I had to listen to the game on the radio today. It was like old times. I have lots of fond memories of games on the radio.
I've heard a lot of bad things about Don Criqui but I thought he called today's game clearly and with enthusiasm. He consistently told me the down, distance, yard line, score, clock time, name of the ball carrier or tackler, and whether it was a first down. But I also heard at least six times what color the uniforms were and which direction the team was moving.
Allen Pinckett, on the other hand, had nothing much to contribute and could not enunciate clearly.
