It feels so good to be right. But I wish Father Ted had left the great coach, your father, leave on his own accord and when he was good and ready - most likely to retire and watch ND football and feel gut-punched when they lose like the rest of us.
Heck, when he was head coach, not only did the team and students expect to win every time they took the field, but they felt it was their birthright to win a national championship every year.
For me, that's the goal. None of this b.s. conference championship stuff like the great asshole Bo Schembechler always honked about when ND beat his Wolves, "It's just another game for us. What's important to Michigan is to win the Big 10 and go to the Rose Bowl. That's OUR goal."
