Denver

When we played them at Denver earlier this year we lost by one goal after winning only 20% of the faceoffs. If we can somehow win 35% of the faceoffs this weekend, we move on in the tournament. Denver has the best faceoff specialist in the country but some other teams have shown some respectable results against him. We need the respectable result this weekend.
Perform like we did against Marquette and we are capable of winning the whole thing.

Watch for a lot of double-polling the wings...

It would not surprise me if we put 2 long sticks out there from the open face-off and play the lacrosse version of hack-a-Trevor.

One other proviso

ND absolutely MUST take better care of the ball. The Irish had way too many unforced turnovers yesterday. Kevin Corrigan needs to have a long conversation with Mike Brey about valuing ball possession and limiting turnovers. I agree about the face-offs, but limiting turnovers will be another huge key to this game.
