Yes, they "held on" to their 9-goal lead, but I seriously doubt they'll leapfrog No. 2 ND, at least not before we play them on Saturday. PSU (3), Rutgers (5), and Hofstra (7) have better shots -- especially PSU, which got more first-place votes than ND did in the last poll (8-2). Then again, ND's schedule has been far tougher than any of those of the unbeaten teams. PSU just squeaked by 2-5 Fairfield, 9-8, while Rutgers beat winless NJIT, 10-5.

We will have our hands full with OSU

Their defense looked very solid against DU - CC could not beat his man 1 on 1. The defense didn't need to slide very often, their goalie played well and they were great in GBs and clearing. Their O played well (Denver's D was very undisciplined) and shot very efficiently. Nick Meyers is a very good coach.

Doss is going to have to play well and we will need to find someone on O to force them to slide...perhaps Gleason.

I predict another 1 goal game for the Irish, 9-8, ND.
