Political Philosophy:
Fiscally (very) conservative -- I strongly believe in incentives. The longer we incent people to do the opposite of what we really want them to do, the more they'll do it. Many social programs actually incent bad behavior. Socially moderate -- I think government should get out of all marriages. The gov't should issue civil union licenses to couples. Marriage can be done at the choice of the church. -- Anti-abortion as a means of birth control. I have internal conflict with the "usual" exceptions (aka life of the mother, rape, incest, etc). I don't like it, but I can definitely understand it. -- I believe we should be stewards of our environment, but believe the global warming movement has gone way to far and are negatively impacting the economy.
Religious Philosophy:
Cafeteria catholic -- mainly because I really don't have an issue w/ birth control & I believe some wars are justified.
