Height:  Weight:  lbs. Alumni Status:  87L
Location:  South Bend Favorite Baseball Team:  Chicago Cubs - the team of THIS century
Natural Enemies:  Trojans, Wolverines, Pumpkin Shuckers, Packers, Stinkin' Cardinals, gmurphy

Athletic Ability: Had a very short prime in my twenties, but that has long faded. Now more of a third base coach than a shortstop. Like Don Zimmer, there is a shortstop trapped inside my body. Maybe two by now.

Sartorial Style: Conservative if left to my own choices but my wife likes to jazz me up a bit. Business casual. Dress neatly but comfortably at other times.

Favorite Beverage and Consumption Freq: When I used to get out more frequently, any kind of beer would do. Marriage, kids and the march of time have caused me to pick my spots and drink something worthwhile, so it's Guinness, about weekly. Shiner Bock, when I can get it. Apparently you can drink gallons of this stuff and not suffer a hangover. (If you come to a home game from Texas - bring me some in the Stadium Lot!)

Political Philosophy: Middle of the road - choose candidates based on qualifications and not by whether they are D or R. Actually wish for both parties to be strong in the hope that competition will bring out the best candidates.

Religious Philosophy: Catholic, re-energized after our family experienced a journey filled with an abundance of God's love and grace. We have all experienced an explosion of our faith. I hope to be a source of hope, support and love for NDN friends facing difficult challenges. Email me if you need encouragement when things are tough.

Musical Favorites: Beatles
Led Zeppelin
Jeff Lorber Fusion
70s and 80s compilations
live jazz music
light classical
East Texas rock/blues/country

Favorite Quote from an ND Coach: Bob Davie after 2000 Nebraska at ND on why he didn't try to score on the last drive:
"I knew there was no magic that was going to come down out of the sky."
That quote proved how much Davie did not get ND. We are the one place where magic doesn't surprise us when it comes down out of the sky. In fact, we expect it to come down out of the sky.

Miscellaneous Data: I'm always here to assist anyone visiting or thinking of relocating to the South Bend area. We moved here in 1996 and the whole family - Mrs. SBDomer (ND ‘19), G28 (ND ‘17), SIL29 (ND '16, '18), B25 (ND ‘21) and B23 (ND '23) - is enjoying a life full of faith, family and friends.
Let me know if you need any information about the South Bend community.
