45 years of golf (mostly 6 to 12 handicap). Decent at tennis. Never really tried any team sports. |

Sartorial Style: |
Casual (work at home). Mostly shorts and golf shirts. A few nice business suits and ties, collecting dust in the back of the closet. |
|
Favorite Beverage and Consumption Freq: |
Gin and tonic. Not having to imbibe quite as much, now that Davie is gone. Liver seems to be making a comeback. Also like Washington Merlots, Australian Shiraz, some Cabernets. Bourbon on the rocks when the Irish are not doing well. |
|
Political Philosophy: |
Mostly conservative, but caring less with each new generation of "dud" candidates, from either party. |
|
Religious Philosophy: |
Lutheran, attend regularly. Some of it seems to be sinking in, at times. Still have an exceptionally long ways to go, in terms of tolerance, love my neighbor, etc. |
|
Musical Favorites: |
Any good rock and roll, especially Van Morrison, Bob Seger, Sprinsteen, music you can actually dance to. Hate grunge, rap, or whatever the current stuff is called. |
|
Favorite Quote from an ND Coach: |
Just about anything Lou ever quipped, would tie for "favorite". |
|
Miscellaneous Data: |
I became a Notre Dame fan in 1957, when ND beat Oklahoma, to end their long winning streak. I'm a "subway" alum (had the brains to get in, but folks weren't willing to foot the bill). I greatly admire Notre Dame, even though I'm an "outsider". Those of you in the ND Family have something to be very proud of, please cherish it every day. |
