• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. Not every article needs to be discussed. The more the hair-pulling articles are discussed (e.g. ESPN Page 2), the more the authors will write hair-pulling articles.

New Hoopgurlz Rankings Out; Recruiting Report Updated by dillon77

So, MPG's recent talk about how Recruiting of the Class of 2025 is taking a backseat to the Transfer Disturbance that has hit WCBB. And in fact, that disturbance could have effects on how the Class of 2025 and 2026 are recruited. (For instance, if all the transfers are grad. students, virtually nothing changes because they're only here for a year. But if they're younger, that could affect whom you pursue in '25 or '26.) So, some elements will vary until the Portal is closed in early May.

Another factor affecting the report is that Hoopgurlz updated its rankings.
The edited report -- as of April 12th -- reflects those rankings.

Risers in the Class of 2025

- Aaliyah Crump from Minnesota is now the highest-ranking guard, having gone from #9 to #5.
- Grace Knox, the guard from Las Vegas who now plays in California, has gone from #17 to #11.

Those Who Dropped a Bit
(Remember, this is only Hoopgurlz)

- Guard Deniya Prawl from Canada, now in Florida, went from #6 to #16.
- Forward Madison Francis from Western New York State, dropped from #7 to #23; and,
- Forward Zhen Craft went from #28 to #36.


In the Class of 2026, rankings stayed pretty static but ...
- Jacy Abii, the guard from Texas, rose from #9 to #5;

We'll wait until the Transfer Portal period results are done until the chart is updated and predictions for situational need are edited.

Recruitment is now on two fronts, so it's good to sweep out 2024 and get the pertinent names up for 2025 and 2026.
