A Freeman/Mentor Scenario by DawsonMayes871

Let's say that Marcus Freeman is named the next head coach at Notre Dame. It would be the definition of high risk/high reward. He's a recruiting dynamo and an incredibly impressive guy that has almost single handedly changed the perception of what's possible in terms of bring talent to South Bend in less than a year. But that's all we really know. He's inexperienced as a coordinator (with good but by no means great results) let alone a head coach.

What if he goes the Martelli/Howard route and brings in a "sensei" figure to help him navigate and grow? What if that guy is Tony Dungy? If Freeman is a "know what you don't know" kind of guy, wouldn't that be the perfect sort of fit? What about Cutcliffe? Get someone with expertise on the other side of the ball.
