Offense is the sole reason Kelly can’t win a title by btd

Our offense can’t score against elite teams. It’s not we can’t score 40. We can’t score 20 against elite teams with his offense. That will not change no matter who the QB is. It is just the way he runs the offense IMO.

Our defense is good enough to win titles. Our overall talent is enough to win a title - even though it could be better. Talent is not why we can’t crack 14 most games against elite teams. Talent would be a reason we stall out in the 30’s offensively.

I’m not saying we would roll over teams to tiles with a better offense under Kelly. I’m saying that with the defenses we have had in playoff / BCS title years, an offense that can score in the 30’s like Holtz could against elite teams would win some years - because it would apply game pressure on the other team that has never existed in the Kelly era. Games would become more of a coin flip.

But - Kelly will flat out never allow the offense to change like Saban did at Bama or LSU did for one season before losing their coordinators
