The sole change is time for throws. ~1/2 to 3/4 second by btd

faster now. The offense itself is identical before and after VT. The average depth of throws is down about 3 yards due to him releasing the ball faster. The number of steps he takes on drops are fewer for the same reason.

The positive side effects are the RBs don't have to stay in to block nearly as often -- because defenses can't get to Coan fast enough to sack him with or without the RB there for blocking. That has resulted in increased use of RBs for actually touching the ball on longer passing downs. Again, that's not an actual change to the offense scheme, plays, etc. All are identical before and after.

Is this sustainable? No. Elite teams will eat it alive simply by coming up closer to the LOS and using man coverage that weaker teams are incapable of using. That will result in Coan needing to hold the ball 1 second longer and produce the exact same results before this switch was made. The statistics remain about identical before/after for any time Coan holds the ball that extra one second. We haven't played anyone with the talent capable of forcing us to hold the ball longer. Alt helps in this area too -- better blocking -- but that will also be erased against any elite team (playoff level team).
