Important notes on articles:

• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. Not every article needs to be discussed. The more the hair-pulling articles are discussed (e.g. ESPN Page 2), the more the authors will write hair-pulling articles.

FWIW, I think we will make the CFP by garbageplate

UGA is in, so that leaves 3 spots. I think ND would be behind any one-loss team from the SEC, Big Ten or Big 12, but ahead of a one-loss Wake Forest or Cincinnati. The head-to-head would almost certainly be irrelevant as it pertains to Cincinnati because the Bearcats' schedule is atrocious and they will fall like a lead balloon in the rankings if they lose.

If ND wins out, which is likely, we should make the playoff if three of the following five events to occur:

1. Bama loses to UGA (or prior);
2. Oregon loses, which seems probable since they are underdogs at Utah and would probably have to play Utah again in the P12 title game;
3. Cincinnati loses to SMU, ECU or Houston (IMO, more likely than not);
4. The winner of the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game loses once more, either prior to the Big 12 title game (OU plays Iowa State and OSU plays Texas Tech) or in the Big 12 title game.
5. All Big Ten teams have more than one loss (i.e., the winner of the Big Ten East loses in the Big 10 title game to Wisconsin).

I think we'd bow out quickly again, but I'd like to make it just to piss off everyone else who's sick of seeing ND in the playoffs.
