• Please do not copy entire articles into your post; rather, provide links to them.. We are now links-only for ALL Internet publications. If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.

Before the game was played, did you believe that ND was capable of losing to BC at home? If you did, I'd say you were in the very, very small minority, and yet here we are.

I really don't get your logic. You say--correctly, in my opinion--that genuine 'upsets' happen, where the legitimately better team loses to a weaker team. Where you lose me, though, is when you then start hypothesizing that a certain team is incapable of losing to another team. I think those two points contradict each other.

I think anyone placing a higher priority on 'what they believe would happen' over what actually happened on the field is doing a huge disservice to the sport. MSU should be ranked ahead of Michigan, Oregon should be ranked ahead of OSU, and Cincinnati should remain ranked ahead of ND even if they lose a game.
