Swarbrick/Kelly need to stop treating ... by CJC

the ACC five-game commitment as some type of murderers' row, when the facts make clear that those five games will contain at most one Tier 1 opponent per season.

I also have it on good authority that Notre Dame has a commitment that the ACC will never schedule Notre Dame to play both Clemson and Florida State in the same season, to further easy any Notre Dame concerns about overscheduling (obviously, that commitment was given when Florida State was worth a damn).

In classic and typical Swarbrick/Kelly pussified, schedule-for-success style, they treat the ACC games as legitimate challenges (or, put differently, opportunities to enhance Notre Dame's playoff resume) when in reality, they're the dregs of our schedule.

Five ACC games plus USC (and grudgingly, Navy) can still result in a consistently strong schedule if you fill those five remaining slots with high-quality SEC teams (not Vanderbilt), Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc.

Instead, Swarbrick uses those five slots to schedule Toledo, Bowling Green, New Mexico, Northwestern, etc.

And then they claim that they couldn't have avoided our shit-sandwich schedules.
