I generally think that’s a positive. I like big games. That’s why Oregon is all the way up at 4, because they have the win over OSU despite the loss to bad Stanford. I like rewarding that more than putting Oklahoma up there just because they’re undefeated.

The Bama at 2 thing admittedly is a bit strange to me. I do think your last sentence (sadly) has some merit to it. UC as low as they are with the win at ND and still undefeated is unfair IMO.

I don’t know if this is actually accurate, just based on feeling/recollection, but it kinda seems like historically the committee provides a 1-loss mulligan, where they sorta rank the 0-loss and 1-loss teams based on which teams they’ve beaten/overall schedule/margin of victory, without taking into account much if you’re undefeated or have one loss and who/how that loss occurred. If you have a 2nd loss though, you could have 10 top-15 wins on the season and you’re probably not getting in.
