I went to cfbstats. I have no idea which is more accurate.

I have three things in my mind when I question Kelly's use of underclassmen:
1.) Michael Mayer, Tommy Tremble, Cole Kmet, Chase Claypool, Kevin Stepherson, EQ St Brown, Will Fuller, Corey Robinson, Chris Brown, Davaris Daniels, TJ Jones, Theo Riddick, and Tyler Eifert all had productions (15+ catches) during their Freshman or Sophomore seasons.
2.) I can't think of a player who has transferred and gone on to better things afterward. (And of course, this is a bit of a self-selecting stat, as the real waste of talent comes in not developing the kid when he's 18 or 19, so the fact that he goes on to little after transferring is partially the fault of the coaches.) But combining the first two points, is it possible that the best players really are playing?
3.) This one is a a bit weird, but for the past 20 years, the New England Patriots have had a laughable record of drafting and developing wide receivers, yet they have stuck to their system and it has worked out pretty well for them overall. I'm just wondering if we have a similar system in place.
