Yes, agreed. by The Irish Cardinal

We got the low-tier paid service for Peacock. Don't have a clue what it's called. It's part of our "family sharing" arrangement for streaming services; we have about five between us. If I had to scrap one, Peacock would be the first on the cutting board.

We watched the "Brave New World" series, which was their premiere streaming content at the time. It was good, but not on par with the premiere content on any of the other streaming services that we have seen. At any rate, they cancelled that before the paint was dry on the season finale.

One other puzzle is that there are huge holes in NBC's previous content that they don't have. My wife and I have started getting into The West Wing - for some reason, we had never seen it. Where do I find it? HBOMax, of all places. Perhaps they just need to run out the contract, but that seems like a glaring error on NBC's part; I mean, they knew Peacock was coming internally for years.

Finally, the interface is probably the most annoying of any of the streaming services. For example, they show a static ad if you pause the show. Even at a paying tier. That just seems egregiously offensive.

I read that they're coming out with something on one of Dan Brown's novels in a couple of weeks; perhaps that will be good. It was also nice being able to stream some of the Olympic content live that wasn't being broadcast on the networks, but that only goes too far.
