He's done fine in first games for the most part. by KeoughCharles05

Not great, but fine. 2011 USF was part of an overall trend of dumb Kelly games that seems to have faded away. We're still getting blown out with some regularity, but at least its to good teams now, and not Tulsa or USF.

First game results
2010 - Beat Purdue 23-12
2011 - Lost to USF 20-23
2012 - Beat Navy 50-10
2013 - Beat Temple 28-6
2014 - Beat Rice 48-17
2015 - Beat Texas 38-3
2016 - Lost to Texas 47-50
2017 - Beat Temple 49-16
2018 - Beat Michigan 24-17
2019 - Beat Louisville 35-17
2020 - Beat Duke 27-13

9-2. No real pattern there. Plenty of convincing wins over bad teams, but both losses were to bad teams (though in 2016, we were also a bad team). Best win would be 2018 Michigan.
