One consideration -- injuries on punt returns by notra_dahm

I'm not as well versed as half the posters here, but did a quick search online re the strategy of the fair catch. This article (discussing the NFL, but I assume the same concerns exist in college FB) discusses one problem that I hadn't considered -- the high incident of concussions on punt returns -- apparently for both the blockers and the OL pursuers who get blocked from the blind side. Here's one quote:

Based on video review data discussed about, 94% of concussions [that] occur on return plays are directly related to action (block or tackle) initiated because of a punt returner’s attempt to run after catching the ball and making a football move.
