If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. At the very least, you'll save yourself some grief on the boards.
• If your first reaction after reading the article you're going to share is the author is uninformed / stupid / a jerk / all of the above, it's not worth sharing with anyone. I’m on mobile so can’t look it up, but has there been a 4 loss conference champion (let’s say since start of SEC championship in 1992) that finished among the 6 highest ranked conference champions.

As a reminder, conference champion alone does not guarantee a playoff spot. Need to be a conference champion and among the top 6 ranked conference champions.

EDIT: As it relates to the Patriots/Giants, I don’t recall a fan or media firestorm demanding the NFL acknowledge the “rightful” best team as the champion since obviously they had the best season and were clearly the better team except on that one day. Nor for that matter, was it ever suggested that the NFL gets rid of the playoffs in favor of the top 2 teams as voted by some group play for the championship and the other 14 top teams can go play in some meaningless exhibition games scattered around the country. Because that would be a fucking idiotic suggestion
