Not sure what Kelly/Rees are doing with the offense by Hanratty5ND

The ND offense stinks.

Yeah I'm sure it will get better and might even be mediocre at some point in 2021. It might even look good against some of the cream puffs.

But it will stink against any good team.
ND's presumed starting QB(Coan) couldn't even lead the team to one TD.
There was no JOK or Hamilton lurking out there yesterday.

Buckner looked pretty good--led the team to the only 2 TD's--but he was throwing against a walk-on CB. Buckner offers some hope--but Kelly/Rees need to drastically upgrade the QB talent on the roster. Don't hold your breath.

That is the rushing total ND had yesterday at the half yesterday for both teams, Blue and Gold. One had 2 the other had 10. Please convince me that Kelly and Rees know what they are doing.

I know the plan was to get Keyes work--but did he really need 14 targets? He caught only 5, so that is not a great ratio. Points to some issues at QB and OL?

Keyes got 14 targets, yet WR Jordon Johnson had zero. He supposedly threw a nice block though! Xavier Watts had 1 target. Joe Wilkins had more drops(3) than those two had total targets(1). But Kelly keeps blowing about how he needs Wilkins to be great. He can't even be mediocre and Kelly is expecting greatness! Kelly and Del are clueless.

Stating the obvious when I say there will be attrition at the WR spot. It's almost like Kelly is trying to run some guys out of there. No Targets in a spring game is a pretty good way to say 'see ya'. Asshole Kelly will tell you they need to work on 'the details' of playing WR.
