Costa was so fast for his size (6'4 240) that Kurarich didn't know what to do with him...so Joe put him in his infamous 'Elephant Backfield' at HB

Big Paul was also ND's top kick returner

Ara finally switched Costa to DE, where Costa was a demon in '64 until hurt....long NFL career
