If only a small portion of the article pertains to your post, Fair Use allows you to copy those one or two paragraphs, provided you cite the author's name and the publication for which he writes. Otherwise, put a link in the HTTP Link box.
• Even if you're copying a reference to an article, provide a link to the page from which the article came. We're trying to cut down on duplicate topics, and the posting process will check the link to your article to see if it's already being discussed on this board. When asked about the impact of Notre Dame's appointment of its first black head coach, Willingham said, ''That would be for others to say, not I.''

But Willingham has recently gone on record lamenting the low number of black head coaches in college football, saying in October that ''I don't think you can say we're building any momentum.'' And when he was considering the Notre Dame job in the last couple of weeks, he had conversations with his younger brother, Jerome, about what it would mean historically if a black man became head coach at Notre Dame.

''He had to leave Stanford, and understanding the historical significance of it tipped the scale,'' his brother said. ''It's something you have to think about. Our conversation sort of stimulated that thought.''
