Thought experiment: If instead of Weis in 2005... by Rammer Jammer

...and without changing admissions policies, it had been Meyer (and I know the backstory there - I am not being intentionally antagonistic), and he had stayed long-term, isn't it far more likely than not that Notre Dame would have won multiple titles from that day to this? Same for Saban and perhaps even (horribile dictu) Swinney? If you can believe that, and I do, except perhaps the last one, isn't this a false dichotomy, like the Phillips Curve? And if it is, (starting to sound a bit like Otter in Animal House - "I put it to you, Jack..."), what is the real obstacle, and how can Notre Dame solve for it with the next hire?
