More flawed logic by Pat85

No question ND does not belong on the same tier as Alabama or Ohio State on just about any basis - current state of the program, last 20 years, last 30 years. Certainly Clemson is in a better place currently, but they have an all-time top 20 coach who would win one or more titles at any of this author's top two tiers, and during the 25 years pre-Dabo, they were not tier one or ND's equal. Many so called experts said Alabama was no longer tier one when they hired Saban. Assuming the very best coaches would not recognize the opportunity at an historic elite program, has been proven false many times over. ND is in a very bad place right now (32/27 years and counting), perhaps a tier below LSU, Florida and USC, and it will only get worse every additional day we "settle" for Brian Kelly. The author is wrong putting Georgia and Texas a level above ND (2 national titles combined over last 50 years), and in putting Oregon, Washington, A&M on the same level.
