Not seeking a position myself, but maybe this will help. by Magnitude

I'm in a firm that is also seeking young attorneys. Here in Louisiana, we asked one of the law schools for any diamonds in the rough who don't have jobs yet (they sent us a couple, and luckily one of two was a good fit and accepted our offer), and we also asked to have a post on one of their online career services boards advertising our positions to 3Ls and young alumni. The career services office said that every firm in the state is looking for attorneys. I think part of the case is that young attorneys are regularly switching firms and seeing if the grass is greener on the other side, or even getting out of law after not too long.

One of my partners recently talked to another local attorney, who said they've had some luck making a similar pitch you have -- asking Big Law attorneys who have been laid off to come to Louisiana for a practice that offers real attorney work. In the conversation, it wasn't mentioned how they found those attorneys.

I went online and found the following website that appears to have been set up in the wake of the Big Law layoffs: https://www.lawlayoffs.com/ One thing it says near the top: “If you’re a law firm rep who has a live opportunity, email us and we’ll do our best to connect you with applicants.” Our HR sent something out a couple weeks ago, and as far as I know we haven't received any bites, but I thought I would pass it along. Good luck.
