Staying on task, 1st day the Big 10 won all their games and by Domerduck

Illinois is the big 10 champion so Day 1 was in their favor. Still it had a lot to do with competition. Conference records for the Power 5:
Big 10 5-0, ACC 6-1, SEC 5-2, PAC12 4-2, and Big 12 2-1. All top seed teams won their opening game at home, including Illinois.

More telling of the competition was that all six Power 5 losses were to teams in 2 vs 3 matchups and only Auburn lost to non-Power 5 team. The BIG10 won both Power 5 games (Maryland and Iowa winning) while the other 4 conferences had at least one loss. The PAC 12 had the toughest challenge and had to play 4 such games and split them (OSU/ASU winning while USC/Oregon losing). The ACC played 2 splitting them as well (UVA winning, CLemson losing...both against PAC12 teams). The SEC and Big12 lost their one Power 5 challenge (Texas and Ole Miss losing).

Today will be the best test to see who is the best conference with 7 games with 2 Power 5 head to head, 6 of them both won yesterday. Let's hope ND proves the ACC is the best conference against Illinois. My hope is the Big 10 turns into an overrated conference with 4 of their team in those match-ups today. Go ND, Louisville, UCLA, and Vandy.
