I do miss mid-range jumpers and touch shots. Maybe some day they’ll come back but the math guys don’t like them. (.35)*3 > (.5)*2 they say. If teams can find a way to defend the 3 point line better maybe the equilibrium will swing back.

When the Mavs won the title in 2011 Dirk's mid range game was the difference. Teams couldn't defend a guy who could work around the rim, the mid range, and the 3 point line.
