There’s an argument to be made that early in his career he was better than he is now.

Even 10 years ago, his teams weren’t overwhelming you with 8 and 9 NBA players like Pitino did in the 90s.

There’s a really compelling argument to be made that he’s, at best, the 4th best coach in that conference behind Barnes, Pearl, and Oats. That’s not mentioning that fact that Chris Beard was hired by Ole Miss after his controversial firing at Texas and Rodney Terry comes into the league next year.
