I see a similar theme playing out as with Harangody. Cooley is playing his tail off in these summer league games and probably playing harder than everyone else similarly to how Harangody did for the better part of his college career. The reality is that two things happen - eventually you go up against better athletes who play harder once the NBA regular season starts and you can't maintain that level of energy over a long period of time.
Kudos to Jack for getting himself on the radar. I hope he can make it for himself and for ND basketball; however, it seems like it will be too much of an uphill battle for the reasons above.
