Despite some comments here the UK league is not bad at all - i think Martin will struggle to make any impact there.
I would not sign him on his dodgy legs.
After he sat out the rest of the year during his 5th year campaign, I figured his body wasn't recovering well enough to expect to play professionally. I guess what he had was an injury that needed longer than late season to heal.
What has to be understood is that just about every guy wants to keep playing somewhere if they possibly can. Martin wants to coach someday, but, he's like the rest of the guys who will play anywhere from the D league to anywhere in the world and will give it a shot. He "coached" at the recent basketball camp and seemed to be moving fine. He was great with the kids and will be a "natural" if he does try to coach some day.. He's had knee issues for years and probably always will. I just hope he can compete enough to get his desire to play out of his system. His knee troubles has impacted his game for the last several years.
Well, that's nice of them.
How does the British basketball compare to other Euro leagues? Meaning, I hear more about France, Spain and Italy as having a higher level of play. Is that correct?
I watched them in the games described in the linked report.
