Murphy had inquired about what he needed to do to
complete his degree requirements.
Specifically, I spoke to a Benedictine at a fundraiser who was
at Delbarton when Murphy was there and he said Troy was finishing
up his ND degree.
These days there is some flexibility in taking some
courses off campus that can be transferred to qualify
for credit toward a degree.
Duval Kamara met his degree requirements this way. Murphy left
a year early and had more to make up.
My main point is that an individual can have a professional
playing career in the NBA, NFL or MLB and still get his degree.
I believe you can still sell the advantage of a ND education for
a player who leaves early.
