Nothing is more discouraging than to have mutual interest with a recruit and for him to verbal elsewhere before taking an official visit.
I am surprised that Ben Bentil from Delaware, Abdul Malik-Abu from NH (read great things about him), Obi Enechionyia from Maryland are not among the 2014 recruits Brey is focusing on.
I have read the mutual interest on Paul White has lessened quite a bit in recent weeks and it is hard to read where ND is with the on again off again interest in Bluiett.
Matt Cimino and Sean O'Mara both held some interest with ND, but they seem more in line with the recruiting targets ND would have had in the BE.
You have to wonder if Brey has a definite answer from Grant taking a 5th year. If Grant has told him he will not, you sure would like to see Brey go after a 2014 combo guard now as opposed to waiting till the spring of 2014 to find an uncommitted guard or one that has a reason to get out of his LOI. Just do not like the idea of again having only 2 true guards on the roster in 14-15.
