Someone has to step up and push the group. Pat and/or Atkins are probably the best candidates. Pat certainly played hard every night that I watched him. I think its obvious that there needs a committment by everyone to getting stronger and, for the big guys tougher. By the end of the year Grant looked like he was on a starvation diet. I see Jackson playing, but I doubt he's going to walk on the court and all the veterans look at him as their leader.. I said so many times over the past two years, Scott Martin's value was much more than a stat line after a game. But its hard to lead in a suit on the bench. He mentioned that fact lte in the year. The team did well to win as many as it did after his injury. But Cooley go tired or sick, or got senoritis and the other guys played about as badly as they could in the NCAA's. Next year could be vey interesting, new league and attractive home conference schedule. But there needs to be a better attitute and more attention to detail every night for this group to achieve the success they should.
