VPI, Clemson and Wake are supposed to sit the 2013-14 series out. It was announced at the beginning of the season that the ACC would use the final 2012-13 RPI to determine who sat out when SU and Pitt officially joined. SU and Pitt obviously had higher RPIs than VPI and Clemson. Once ND got its release, that forced out Wake who tied GT for 10th but had a lower RPI. Determining 2014-15's sit-out team gets a tad complicated because the conference limits how many years in a row you sit out (I'm not sure how many). If Louisville doesn't have a higher RPI than the last place team it will be a story for the ages.
