When you mention that Brey and ND's administration are likely to stay the course.
Whenever the subject of Brey's job performance comes up, many point to the state of ND's facilities, as well as the admissions restrictions on recruiting. Those could constitute valid excuses if Brey was relatively new on the job. But at this point, he's been at ND 13 years. And there's also the fact that a number of sports which are, or at least should be, below basketball on the totem pole have gotten facilities upgrades -- hockey, men's lacrosse and women's lacrosse all come to mind in that regard.
At best, Brey is a poor advocate for the men's basketball program. At worst, he is complicit with the Administration's decision to relegate basketball to permanent second-tier status.
