It did bother me more than '08 or '12. This team had no consistency, and I adjusted my expectations accordingly. There were the UL, MU, and Pitt wins, but there were also the PC and G'town losses and the 2 DP games. PC's hot shooting made for a nice BET run, but you knew he wouldn't continue to shoot .625 from 3.*
While never dreamed of such an ugly loss, I knew that 10 over 7 upsets aren't uncommon, and I assumed a loss to tOSU in the next round, anyhow. Given the expectations engendered through half of the '11 BET semis, what happened w/ that team thereafter hurt a lot more. I can also think of several losses between '74 and '81 that hurt much more.
*PC only attempting 2 treys is still a head-scratcher.
