Lots of ex-patriates around here so I'm going to the pub and praying for a draw.

I need prep on all 4 nationalities soccer/futbol/football history so that I can respond if I hear this again, "David Beckham will be the US MNT coach in a few years, he's one of the best footballers in the world and US is 'small-fry'"

She thought it was an insult to suggest he might need to coach successfully elsewhere first.

The Mexican is probably the most polite of all of them...but the European arrogance is likely to be out in force. Help please

tell her that Rob Green is your all-time favorite US player *

1) The Scot shouldn't have anything to say. Perhaps you can call him British if he does.
2) We really are small-fry in the international game.
3) Who gives a shit what they think?

4) Montenegro *
