ND punishes man-down-MSU. 3-0. Lachowecki.

ND pushed ball into the box, the forward (maybe Hodan or Finley?) clattered against the centre-back and the ball sprung free into open space in the box. Lachowecki ran into space and beat the keeper far-side.

Full-time. Irish advance into the round of 16. *

6th time in the Sweet 16, 2 previous Elite 8 trips

We lost at Charlotte in 1996, at home vs. MIchigan in 2003 (on penalty kicks), and at Clemson in 2005. In 2006, we won at Maryland but lost in the final 8 at Virginia. In 2007, we won at Santa Clara but lost in the final 8 at Wake Forest.

I didn't realize Clark had made 4 previous Sweet 16s.

For some reason I thought his teams had sputtered more in the NCAA tournament.

You're thinking of Brey *
