TV rights. Fox and ESPN have withdrawn the bidding.

According to a few tweets this afternoon. That'd be a big pick up for them.

If this happens, they have the Champions League for the rest of this season, and the World Cup in 2018 and 2022. Beyond that, their portfolio of rights looks pretty sparse. With BeIN grabbing pretty much all of the other major European leagues, will FSC get rebranded into a more general sports channel (or some other genre entirely)?

I could deal with that. Don't have to hope BeIN Sport

It would be a bummer if they all got sucked in by NBCSN.

I forgot NBCU is owned by Comcast. So...this is about the cable companies buying content. Note that Telemundo is also part of this group, so they could farm some games off that way.
