But I'm not sure what to tell you. The teams are almost always very good (although in Region IV you love seeing a Wyoming, Montana, or Alaska team in your group), and your team usually needs to finish first or second in your group to advance to the quarters. For most teams, getting to the quarters is an achievement. Older teams have substitute restrictions, younger teams do not (same rules as your state cup competition).

It is intense, and goes quickly.
