The team is currently using mostly their domestic contingent. If they advance to the World Cup, it will be interesting which of the European-based young players they bring. Maybe they don't want to mess up the chemistry now.

Tab Ramos succeeded Claudia Reyna. Caleb Porter, the Timbers coach, was the U23 coach for the Olympic team in 2012. Tab Ramos coached the U23 in 2014. Andreas Herzog coached the U23 in 2016 Olympic qualifying.
