I thought they'd be in a dog-fight with a lot of coin flips

I didn't think they'd suck as hard as they did though and end up with only 1 point against Bayer and Monaco.

They weren't even in a dog-fight...they are clear #3 despite being "favored" to advance.

Does winning one's group earn a trophy?

Asking for a friend.

Signed, Arsene

1 in 3 chance of Bayern or Real Madrid. Incredible.

They'll actually have greater than a 1 in 3 chance

…of drawing either Bayern or Real.

Good call

I was just doing the simple math. Didn't take into account those two teams getting pulled out of other pools.

Shit.

Pray for Porto, Benfica, Sevilla, Bayer - expect RM or BM *

Don't expect Sevilla to be much easier.

They're currently sitting third in La Liga, ahead of Atleti, and they've won the Europa League each of the past two years. I'd say they're just about even money against the likes of Arsenal and Dortmund.

I'd take those odds over Real or Bayern

Plus, sticking it to Nasri would be fun.

Dortmund are guaranteed to avoid both.

They were in the same group as Madrid, and they're in the same federation as Bayern. The Round of 16 field is ridiculously strong this year though, so I don't see a gimme from the remaining options:

Manchester City
PSG
Benfica
Porto
Sevilla

It is definitely a strong round of 16

but I'd certainly rather have Benfica or Porto over Bayern/RM.

Said differently Arsenal can't draw MC/PSG while Dortmund can't draw RM/Bayern. Winner - Dortmund.

At least second leg is home

I was hoping Arsenal would last until at least the quarterfinals this time. Guess not.
