And the NASL as a whole seems to be in flux. This could cause some pretty dramatic down-pyramid changes to the club soccer landscape in the US. A merger with USL seems like a possibility, which may be a precursor to some kind of MLS affiliation.

I am by no means an expert on the inner workings of all the divisions within American club soccer, but will be watching these developments pretty closely.
