the University of Louisville and Raoul.

Not surprisingly, the Cardinals are after her (they cast a very wide net, as we know), but so are numerous other top programs, including the Irish. And our coaches were apparently in the stands at a July tournament watching her with peers from UConn, Baylor, Stanford, Louisville, etc.

Top things I got from this (linked) article:
- She'll whittle her offers down to a list by end of July (that's not long, folks);
- She'll take visits in the fall; and,
- Will make her choice after those visits.

Like Brianna Turner, she lives outside of Houston...maybe when she comes up to visit (knock on wood), she can stay with Breezy Bri.

Now that Notre Dame recruiting has scaled new heights,

should we leave the more mundane schools behind and pursue new recruiting challenges?

Basically our whole team was invited to the USA U23 tryouts. (If they count Russell as a junior at Tennessee then surely Boley is still considered a freshman at Notre Dame.) There is no question that Turner would have been invited if healthy. That is pretty much the roster, at least those with playing time, except for the one player who would probably help the USA team more than possibly any current invitee. That player, of course, is—let me step into the fan club house for a second—Kathryn Westbeld. While all the others are proving their one-on-one skills, she would be passing, rebounding, "joining unsettled situations", playing defense, scoring within set plays and the game plan, encouraging, in short, doing everything that needs to be done to win. The USA needs some glue. Seriously.

OK, let me step back out of the club house and return to the original point: new challenges for Notre Dame recruiting. So what is the next level? What should Ms Ivey and co. be focused on? Only top 5 recruits? To be able to field five on the floor from N.J.? My personal proposal, and why I placed this post where it is, is to go for an All Novel Names Team. We mentioned this before, but I think it would add new excitement for the fans and the news media (fake or not). We'd be featured on ESPN just for the starting line-up presentations: "Starting forward comes the Queen (appropriate bowing), followed by a great Treasure Hunt!—for the fans!"

But I'm open to other proposals. Where should N.D. be heading in the recruiting world?
