Notre Dame's possible connection, Christyn Williams, played well, but did not separate herself as the HoopGurlz 2018 #1 rated player. I recall Arike displaying more offensive moves. However Arike's defensive lapses (where Erin was often left to cover for her) hurt that team (and carried into her freshman year). Christyn did play solid defense. Aquira DeCosta (MVP of the tournament) and especially, in my opinion, Janelle Bailey (2017 North Carolina) seemed to be the difference makers.

Of course, 3x3 basketball is different than 5 on 5. The games are constant running with a 12 second clock, a lot of 1 on 1, a lot of throwing up prayers, and a lot of pushing and shoving. Anyway, congrats to Christyn Williams, Destiny Littleton, Aquira DeCosta, and Janelle Bailey for bringing home the gold.

Addendum: Per ESPN article, Christyn suffered a sprained ankle before the the tournament which may account for her subdued performance.
