It was godawful hot.

ND hung on to win, and I remember leaving the stadium and seeing thousands of empty plastic water bottles.

I cannot imagine what it must have been like to be in uniform that day and playing on the field.

A lot of A&M male cadets were wearing their uniforms in the stands with very nicely dressed young ladies at their sides. The A&M fans were the model of proper decorum.
